Grace Park

Grace Park of Battlestar Galactica

Grace Park is an American actress of Korean descent whose family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia while she was still very young. When she became a teenager, Grace won a role on the acclaimed Canadian Television drama Edgemont, and from there she went on to make several guest appearances on popular science fiction and fantasy shows such as Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda and Stargate-SG1. The Stargate appearance was part of a failed pilot episode for a proposed spinoff series.

In 2003, Grace Park won the coveted role for Sharon "Boomer" Valerii on Ronald D. Moore's re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, which was originally produced as a mini-series. Grace did not realize her character was a Cylon sleeper agent until she reached the final page of the script. When the mini-series was picked up by the SciFi Channel as a full television production, Grace Park was invited to reprise her role as Sharon. However, as a Cylon character, Grace actually plays multiple Sharons on the show. In 2005 she married a business man of Korean descent in New Mexico.
